The definitive resource to pool, snooker and billiards
Poolmad.com offers free advice and tips to pool and snooker players. Whether you are a beginner pool or snooker player or an advanced player, we have something for you. Pool Mad is a new site, and given the huge range of articles and content I want to put on here, all pool and snooker related, new articles and information will be appearing on a daily basis. Currently the site is around 50 pages or so.
Current content on the site includes advice on choosing or looking after a pool cue, rules for some of the more common variants of pool and for snooker, aiming methods and different types of pool and snooker shots that can be made such as draw or follow shots. You get the idea I am sure. These categories will be expanded over time and new categories will appear. Currently I am working on articles about practice drills and general practice methods.

For what it's worth here is my personal bio in terms of pool and snooker. I started when I was about 6 years old, a little kid running around with a cue I could barely close my hand around. My father had bought a slate third size snooker table and we would have regular games on there, eight ball, kelly pool and snooker. Back then, I was so short that I had to stand on an old apple box in order to see the pool table. It worked though, and I was a good source of amusement, sinking a ball, dismounting and running around the table with box and cue for my next shot. Much as I might like to claim prodigy status I don't think I ever managed a two ball run. This continued for most of my school career, albeit without the apple box and with a slight increase in ability. It was only after school that I started to get more seriously into it. Got a coach and a cue and went for it. This site is going to be the repository of all my knowledge, and while I am no Joe Davis or Efren Reyes, I have a fair idea of the games.

My aim is to make this site, the most comprehensive collection of information, guides and resources for pool, snooker and billiards on the net. This however takes time, but if you have any ideas or feedback, drop me a mail on russell@poolmad.com. In the meantime, I know you will find this site informative and interesting.
